We have housed our field employees at the New Martinsville Inn for over two years now. During this extended time we have stayed, we have had the opportunity to work with many of the hotel staff members and their owners. There are times where we can have 5-9 booked at once. The staff is always friendly and very helpful whether we have a larger crew or just a few employees staying.
Stayed overnight. Great breakfast and comfortable beds. Very courteous staff, better than the big chain hotel we stayed at earlier in the week.
Need zero stars... paid for room... They charged for three nights( my total time planned to stay) after I asked to be charged night by night.. went to my room and it was disgusting( mold. Carpet stained) no way my kids were gonna play on that floor.. so told them we weren't going to stay because it was nasty. Now they are refusing to refund any of the $300 that they charged my card.. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this place. Horrible horrible place
I was staying at this hotel because I am down there working. The first room which was 109 I was bitten by bed bugs all over my body. I called the hotel and explanied to them that I was bitten with no attitude. They said they would go check it out. Great I thought! They called the other guy I was rooming with and told him they moved all of our stuff/ belongings. They did not ask us if it was ok to touch our things. It made us a little upset without getting our permission. We got back to the hotel after work and asked if we could check the room to make sure they didnt leave anything behind. They said they found nothing as for bed bugs. We go to our old room and walk in and it is hotter than hell in the room. The girl at the front desk said they were going to have someone come out and exterminate the room. I asked to speak to the GM of the hotel to express my concern and nothing was done. We didn't get a break on price or even an apology at that. They said someone would call me, has never happened. So my family came down and we got the suite. I walk upstairs and it reeks of marijuana. I have children with me also. I go down stairs and tell the hotel staff and once again nothing is done. They continue to rent rooms to loud people that listen to music outside our window and use drugs. Then I left my pillows in the room when I left and checked out. That was my fault. I asked them about them and one started to lie and know absolutely nothing. I asked a second one and she was honest and said they are still up there. I asked to get them. We walked up and they were going to keep them they took my pillow cases and put theirs on them. Kind of shady! Never recieved my pillow cases with 600 thread count comfortable Egyptian cotton made in heaven. This is true lol. I would hate to spread the word about this hotel to my fellow pipeliners and take away business. They don't want to remedy a situation what else am I supposed to do. So if you believe you want to correct this please contact me my number is on file under this name that is posted. I hardly believe this will happen. You people are never wrong when someone posts a review. You are all scum bags. Cant wait until karma gets you. I bet it will be soon!
Even though our field employees don’t spend much time at the hotel, other than to sleep between shifts, our office staff has yet to receive any complaints since we started housing our field employees at the New Martinsville Inn. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the New Martinsville Inn.
This place is fine if you smoke, period. They put a small block of non-smoking rooms in the middle of the second floor with smoking rooms on opposite sides. Really? What do you think is going to happen when you do this? If your a smoker and alot of people are there, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'm not sure who is worse this place or Budget south of here. We bailed on on this place and went a non-smoking hotel and had a fantastic experience.
